Shooting at YWAM in Colorado

Please pray for all of those affected by this tragedy. We have friends in that base and as many of you know we are part of YWAM as well.

    manwhat is going on with the world. my fiance just called me, we were part of YWAM LA, and told me that her roomate, a YWAM Denver grad, just called her and told her the news. She is understandably very upset

    Hey, this is part of the cross. When the disciples of John came to Jesus (Matt. 11) and asked why John had been arrested, Jesus responded (my paraphase). “Hey guys, get a grip. The Kingdom of God suffers violence, because violent people (like Herod and this shooter) live by a different philosophy of trying to take what they want with force.”

    Thank you for all of your prayers. Tiffany and Charlie are good friends of ours and came from our church. Tiffany was a beautiful girl who came to Christ about 8 years ago and overcame many difficult things that she had to deal with in her young life. She sold everything, knowing that God was calling her to YWAM. She trusted God for everything and if anyone was ready to go home to God, it was her! She allowed the love of God to shine through her. I pray that through her life and death that others will realize that there is no greater peace than to be in Christ. You could see that peace in Tiffany. There is a GREAT celebration in heaven today!

    Whenever this kind of things happens I always think the following:

    1. Life is very fragile.
    2. You never know what tomorrow is going to bring.
    3. If you believe in Jesus, you don’t worry much about tomorrow.
    4. If you don’t take risks for God and stay “home” thinking the world is not safe…well, think again.
    5. Jesus never said it was going to be easy or safe to follow him.
    6. Am I ready to die for Jesus?

    Once again, I encourage all to pray for the families of those that died on this day and those affected by this tragedy.
